DXD-4739: problems with smart card login. In the "DirX Directory Manager Guide", section "7.1.3 Smart Card Login", there
was mentioned a 32-bit version of ATOS CardOS API and the cardos11.dll library. This is no more valid. Now, a 64-bit
version of ATOS CardOS API and the cardos11_64.dll library must be used instead. After successful installation of ATOS
CardOS API, the library is located in C:\Windows\System32 folder.

DXD-4686: objects directly under root were gray (read-only), now these objects should be editable again. Amendment of

A new additional field (Max. DAP share count) allows to limit how many identically authenticated LDAP users
are allowed to share the same DAP backend connection. Only effective, if "Backeend sharing" is checked off

It is now possible to restrict the circle of people entitled to perform LDAP extended operations:
Just specify their DNs in the tab "ExtOp Admins" of the ldapConfiguration subentry.
If no DN is specified, anybody is entitled.
Note that there is one exception: the extended operation that shows the default values for the LDAP configuration subentry
is respected for any user no matter what is specified in the ExtOp Admins tab.
Note that extended operations are typically performed in the monitor view

The menu items "Import Schema", "Export Schema", "Compare Schemata", "Open Schema File" support DSML v2, too, now.
Note that the suffix .xml also expects dsml v2 when importing and creates dsml v2 when exporting.

When running DirX Directory Manager with Java 1.5 on UNIX systems, the labeling of buttons was illegible.

An advanced button allows expressing almost unlimitedly complex LDAP filters (same as already introduced for Search Tab in build 27 and Export in build 20).

If the schema cannot be read from server, an LDIF schema file (schemes/standard.ldif) can make up for the server schema.

replication: a DSA name already specified by the user will no longer be overwritten by DirX Directory Manager’s proposal

Configuration View

The "Netscape Directory SDK for Java" based directory SDK that ships with DirX Directory Manager has been updated to a preliminary edition of Mozilla CVS 4.18 (as of July/2004). Besides, a bug fix was made that prevents the application from going unreactive in case of an out-of-memory exception (instead, the provoking operation will be discarded and an error message pops up).

Installation: This release comes with an InstallAnywhere fix ("LaunchAnywhere fails to correctly locate VMs registered on Windows 2000 systems").

Export: the filter dialog has been replaced by the advanced filter

Import: a new option allows to have the import add attribute values only instead of replacing them (for entries that are to be modified)
