DirX Directory Nagios Plugins
The DirX Directory Nagios plugins are a set of Perl-based executables that allow DirX Directory administrators to use the Nagios® Core™ Open Source monitoring application to monitor the status of important DirX Directory resources and operations and collect statistics about these resources and operations for long-term performance analysis.
DirX Directory provides the following plugins for monitoring the DirX Directory service with Nagios:
-
The check_dirx_backup_status plugin, which evaluates the status of the most recent DirX Directory database backup operation.
-
The check_dirx_ctx plugin, which monitors the CTX memory consumption of a DSA or an LDAP server.
-
The check_dirx_dbam_preload_status plugin, which checks the status of the DirX Directory service database cache preloader.
-
The check_dirx_dbam_usage plugin, which monitors the capacity of DBAM devices.
-
The check_dirx_dsa_get_opmode plugin, which checks the current operation mode of the DirX Directory service.
-
The check_dirx_heartbeat plugin, which checks the responsiveness of the DirX Directory service in a standalone or supplier-consumer replication configuration.
-
The check_dirx_ldap_current and check_dirx_ldap_totals plugins, which check the current value of a specified MIB counter for an LDAP server.
-
The check_dirx_ldap_duration plugin, which monitors the duration of LDAP client calls.
-
The check_dirx_ldap_resultsize plugin, which monitors the result sizes of executed LDAP searches.
-
The check_dirx_no_of_fds plugin, which monitors file descriptor usage for a DSA or LDAP server.
-
The check_dirx_server_files plugin, which checks the number of files below the server/ldif and server/supdate subdirectories to monitor LDIF and shadowing agreement administration.
