Installation on a Single Machine

This section explains how to install all DirX Identity components on a single machine, suitable for evaluation or small-scale environments.

Prerequisites

  • Supported operating system and hardware requirements

  • Java version compatible with your licensed features

  • Administrative privileges on the machine

Installation Steps

  1. Install a directory server Use native tools for your chosen directory server (e.g., LDAP). Ensure it is running before proceeding.

  2. Install Apache Tomcat Download and install Tomcat. On Windows, select Windows Service. Refer to Supported Apache Tomcat installations in Release Notes for version compatibility.

  3. Run DirX Identity installation

    Launch the installer and, in the Choose Licensed Features Set dialog, select the features you have licensed.

  4. Configure DirX Identity

    Follow the configuration procedure to set up database connections and system parameters.

  5. Extend the directory schema Apply schema extensions required for DirX Identity functionality.

Verification

Start the services and access the DirX Identity web interface to confirm successful installation.
